What does this application status mean?
Approved
Your application has been approved. You will receive an approval letter and welcome packet. If you applied by phone, your packet will arrive by mail or email based on your preferred method of communication. If you applied online, your digital welcome packet and letter will be immediately available in your portal account. Information in your welcome packet is specific to you, and to your TotalAssist fund.

You are now eligible to begin submitting claims and using the pharmacy card immediately. Claims may be submitted for expenses incurred up to 6 months prior to the grant approval date.

What to know about diagnosis verification
All patients’ diagnosis must be confirmed by their treating provider to be eligible for assistance. The patient’s treating provider must sign and submit the diagnosis verification form within 30 days, or the grant will be rescinded.
Patients and caregivers:
A diagnosis verification will be faxed to the treating provider listed on the application.
Healthcare providers and pharmacies:
If a healthcare provider attests to the patient’s diagnosis on the application, the information will be reviewed by our team. If additional information is needed, our team will contact the provider’s office directly.
Pending
The TotalAssist program verifies applicant income information through a third-party income verification service to determine eligibility. If the automated income verification system was unable to confirm your/the patient’s household income, to continue processing your application we require verification of the patient’s household income.
Please submit the requested documents within 30 days of your application date. If we do not receive them in time, your application will be closed. You will receive a separate letter with details about which documents to provide. Approvals are made on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on available funding, so we encourage you to send your documents as soon as possible.
