When you may need additional support

Patient Advocate Foundation offers tools, services, and resources to help connect you to the right support, beyond TotalAssist funds. You may benefit from additional resources if:

  • A disease fund is not currently available
  • You need help beyond financial assistance
  • You’re facing challenges with insurance, coverage, or access to care
  • You’re looking for broader support for healthcare or everyday needs

Four ways to get support beyond a TotalAssist fund

From one-on-one navigation to small grants and a national directory — these services connect you to the right help for your situation.

Case management services

Get one-on-one support from trained professionals who can help you navigate insurance issues, access care, and resolve challenges related to treatment and costs. Help is free for eligible patients and their families. To get started, call 800-532-5274, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm ET.

NOTE: We limit the number of new cases we can accept each day to provide a quality experience to every patient we work with. If we have reached our limit, please call us back the next day.

FundFinder

FundFinder is a free website that helps you track more than 200 patient assistance funds from eight charitable organizations. You can sign up for email, text alerts, and automated phone calls when a disease fund you’re interested in opens at Patient Advocate Foundation’s TotalAssist program or other organizations.

Financial aid funds

Patient Advocate Foundation Financial Aid Funds provide small grants to patients who meet financial and medical criteria. Grants are provided on first-come, first served basis and are distributed until funds are depleted. Qualifications and processes for each fund may differ based on individual fund requirements.
