Fund open notifications

What is a fund notification?

If a TotalAssist disease fund is closed, you can sign up to receive notifications in real time when your fund opens to applications. When a fund opens, you can apply immediately. There is no app to download, and you don’t need to have a portal account to receive notifications.

How to sign up

  1. Go to TotalAssist.org/notify
  2. Select the funds you want to track. You can select as many as you’d like.
  3. Choose the ways you want to receive notifications. You can select one or multiple ways to get notified: texts (SMS), emails, and/or automated phone calls.
  4. Enter your contact information: email address, mobile number to receive texts, and/or phone number to receive calls.

You will get timely notifications when your selected TotalAssist funds open, so you can check eligibility and apply.

Disclaimer

Fund opening notifications are sent immediately to registered users. There may be variability in the time it takes to receive a fund notification based on a user’s internet connection, service provider quality, or other network relay delays that impact message delivery. Automated phone call notifications are slightly delayed as compared to email or SMS text notifications. Message and data rates may apply.

Is this a wait list?

No. There are no wait lists for TotalAssist—applications are first come, first served. Signing up to get notifications can help you avoid missing an opportunity to apply for your fund.

How many notifications can I sign up for? Can I change them later on?

When you sign up, you can select as many TotalAssist disease funds as you’d like to track.

How does it notify me?

You can choose one or more types of communication you want to receive: text (SMS), email, and/or phone call. Phone calls are automated; if you miss the call, the automated voice will leave a message in your voicemail.

Can I change the funds I signed up for? Can I change the type of notification?

At any point, you can change your selections (remove or add disease funds) and you can change your method of notification by updating your preferences. To update your preferences, just to go totalassist.org/notify and click “update my preferences.”

Is this the same thing as FundFinder?

No. TotalAssist fund opening notifications are separate from FundFinder.org, a service that enables users to track fund openings across eight financial assistance organizations, including TotalAssist. Both TotalAssist and FundFinder are programs of Patient Advocate Foundation.

We encourage patients, providers, pharmacies, and nonprofits to sign up for alerts through both the TotalAssist notification system and FundFinder. The TotalAssist notification system is specific to TotalAssist, whereas FundFinder curates all foundation availability.
